Lubmin seaside resort

The area around the Greifswald Bodden shines far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with family-friendly beaches and idyllic fishing villages.

The area is very popular with sailors, surfers, kiters and families with children due to the extensive shallow water zone. Cycle paths and designated walking routes along the Greifswalder Bodden and through the Lubminer Heide, which is covered in dense pine trees, invite you to enjoy sporting excursions. The historic station building is now home to the spa administration and accommodation service. The building used to serve as a stop for the former narrow-gauge railway line between Greifswald and Wolgast. In addition to the 350 m long pier and villas in the style of spa architecture, you can also visit St. Peter's Church in Lubmin. The convenient location gives you quick access to Sweden, Denmark and Poland. The Hanseatic cities of Greifswald and Stralsund can also be reached quickly from Lubmin for an excursion.

"In my free time, I prefer to kite at the surf spot near Lubmin Marina, as small waves come in here when the wind blows from the north and you can end the day in one of the cafés in the tranquil seaside resort."
- Jan Paczkowski, kitesurfing instructor in Born
